Connect Pc to TV via S-Video?

I bought a video splitter VGA male to VGA Female x2(1 pc to 2 monitor) + VGA to S-Video/RCA adapter cable. I connected them ok but the pic in my tv is black with with dots and lines. My operating system is vista prinium. How can I fix that?

Did you check if your laptop/desktop has an s-video-OUT jack or composite (yellow) video? If so, you can just run a cable from the video out to the TV. You have to tell the graphics adapter on the computer to send a video signal to that port.

VGA is totally different signal from analog video (s-video, composite, or component). Very few new high-end super LCD monitors have a VGA input.

Devices that convert VGA to s-video or composite are a few hundred dollars. On the other hand, most laptops and many video cards have video out, even my $69 ATI 9550 AGP.
