Want to buy my first R/C Airplane?
I am an absolute beginner in the RC model world, and while I have at times flown real aircraft have no idea how to fly a RC model. I am looking to buy a model aircraft,
I need advice on a beginners model perhaps a powered glider? To learn on I would like it to be easy to build/fly but not to look like a child’s toy (a bit of an ego thing). If you can think of any RTF or ARTF KIT’s (including all the extras i'l need) you have that meet my spec.
BIG THANK YOU
Contact your local RC club. These people are friendly and love to help new comers. They would guide you, teach you and help you out in the beginning stages.
Any ARTF or RTF kit would be great. Go for a high wing model with a span of 48"-60" with .19-.40 motor and a 4 channel radio. This will take you to your intermediate stages when you can convert to a low winger. The radio would be good for many many years.
Good luck and happy landings.
RC Aircraft Assembly and then flying them
Flying and building remote control planes is one thing I've loved all my life. Like a lot of people my age, I had started on the ship as the son of flight control of aircraft online. My first plane was 0.049 Cox PT-19 flight instructor. It's heavy and not flies very well, but I loved it. After the last repair Cox was destroyed, my father took me to a hobby store today, where my first selected package. My father must have been a fan of model plane back. In those days, people hand all their models from kits. Partly together ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) models were readily available even at those times. Consequently, from the point of departure, I had to sit and learn to build airplanes before I managed for a chance to fly.
Ages later, began flying radio control aircraft. I started using a glider 2 meters, and then emigrated to flight engine. The earliest form of the ARF plane I ordered was a 40 Duraplane Aerobat. It was expected to be almost indestructible. I did eventually manage to stop it, however. He had been strong and had to be flown in a high percentage of speed. What I came to understand at first, often these aircraft were prefabricated ARF appropriate however they were a bit heavy and does not fly airplanes, and my team built.
The same is true today. One of the best airplanes in flight is one that has built sound, light and truth. The old saying is "build light flies" Great Right "and" build a straight line. When you purchase an IRA or RTF (Ready To Fly) R / C plane today, which is more likely to get a product that was slapped together in some manufacturing unit in China as soon as possible, use the lower priced items and supplies to complete the job. No doubt some FIA are better than some others, but even good really does not compare to the size of the products you'll find a respectable team RC.
The fact is, the full cost of a kit designed flat compared with a pre-built plane is approximately exactly the same. How is it possible to get a large size team coach RC 0.40 to around $ 75, maybe make you think that it is cheaper to get a guy similar plane for the IRA somewhere in the $ 110 market. Just what we must consider is that you may still have to get a gas tank, wheels, collars tractors, fuel hoses, adhesives, roofing material with other goods that are not included in the kit RC. Most good teams list of parts needed RC to complete the task. This thing is enough to steer some people who are wanting to be in the air to obtain an AFR RTF format or plane. Why does pay for something that will take days or weeks to build if it costs the same as a pre-built aircraft?
A better solution for me is just the pleasure of the construction process. If you value playing or using your hands to do things, then you will most likely love to create an aircraft of a team RC. But for anyone who is uncertain to try to build anything at all after the catastrophe when using particle board entertainment center your spouse crawled home from Wal-Mart can set up, give yourself a break. The plans come in good quality equipment are usually of normal size and also also at hand. Almost everyone is in the ability of standard and often the beautiful building a kit. If you are in that category, you could always ask your children (or grandchildren) to help.

My son enjoys building RC planes from a kit. To my knowledge, only the first one of his many remote controlled planes was an ARF (almost ready to fly) plane. He is good with his hands (I am not!) and enjoys it.
