Rc boat building question?
I wish to build my own rc boat. I already have an rc plane (sky fly 2) and want to use the same reciever for the boat. Questions:
- what type of motor to get? i believe it uses a brushed motor so I'll stick with that but what rpms should I be looking for if I want to use the boat in the ocean?
- the servos? the servos on the plane are small. Can the receiver handle a larger servo?
-battery capacity? the battery pack that comes with the plane is a 900mAh 8.4V pack. Can I upgrade capacity (hook two up in parallel) or will the motor draw more current and burn out?

Ok, I would get one of the new water cooled electric motors. I dont know if that would work in the ocean with the salt and all, but that has some power.....
I would stick to the same servos out of the plane.. they are made to fit that receiver... I would try to do that it could harm the receiver...
For the battery you could get on that has more mAh... That shouldn't effect the receiver or servos or any thing....You could parallel but, that is a little heavier than buying a more mAh battery...
