Team Associated is proud to bring to you the Factory Team RC8T, a 1:8th scale full-blown racing truggy based on the successful RC8 platform! Like the Factory Team RC8 buggy before it, the highly anticipated RC8T will raise the performance bar for 1:8th nitro truggies.
O’Donnell’s Jared Tebo TQed and won both the Pro Buggy and Pro Truggy classes at the Pro-Line Max Challenge. Tebo walked away from the field in each of the main events. It’s not uncommon for Team Associated’s Ryan Cavalieri to be atop the podium. Even though the RCX Supercross track course was tight, and the racers started side-by-side, as opposed to staggered, Cavalieri found his way into victory lane—twice. In the Buggy class, Cavalieri cruised to victory with his Team Orion CRF-powered Associated RC8. In the truggy class it was a different story. Cavalieri looked like he was going to settle for second as he contently followed his teammate Ryan Maifield. As Maifield was about to complete his final lap and thus earn his own $500, he had victory slip away. After clearing the front double jumps, Maifield’s truck (Kyosho STR-R) stuck a huge rock that had worked its way to the track’s surface. The rock nearly stopped Maifield and allowed Cavalieri the opportunity to sneak by and grab an additional 500 bones. Tamiya’s TRF name is synonymous with world championship performance. TRF stands for Tamiya Racing Factory and the 801Xt clearly lives up to the name. The 801Xt is a full-race truggy that was designed and tested in the U.S. by Tamiya America. The truggy includes large bodied shocks, extra-long suspension arms and a unique and efficient inline driveline.
Seen on the RC Modz website, the new Jammin X2 Truggy was on show at last weeks RCX show in California. According to the source, the diff mount is different, it has a longer chassis with the components mounted more to the front, there is a new fuel tank as well as a new radio tray. The car sports big bore shocks, a more centralised engines and plastic chassis braces. Further information on the car will be released by Jammin in due course. |
